Automate-X Networking Event, Sydney (CeMAT) 2025

Last week, Automate-X brought together a brilliant mix of logistics, warehousing, manufacturing and automation leaders for a CeMAT Sydney networking event with a twist, hosted at URBNSURF Sydney. It was a reminder that some of the best industry conversations don’t happen under expo hall lights, but in settings that invite people to relax, connect and speak candidly about what’s really happening on the ground.
URBNSURF delivered the perfect backdrop, equal parts energy and ease. With great food, plenty of room to mingle and the buzz of the surf park in the background, the evening made networking feel natural, easy introductions, real laughs and niche conversations that moved quickly past small talk into shared challenges and ideas.
Across the group, a few themes kept resurfacing: automation is shifting from experimentation to execution, integration is where the hardest work (and biggest wins) live, and successful projects hinge as much on people and change management as they do on technology. Just as importantly, leaders are looking for ROI that’s clear, fast and defensible, practical solutions that scale without disrupting operations.
