Shiperoo’s new RoboShuttle warehouse

Shiperoo’s growth story is a clear example of what happens when an e-commerce fulfilment business commits to a technology-first approach. With consumer expectations climbing every year, faster shipping, accurate orders, and a smooth experience from cart to doorstep are no longer “nice to have”, they’re the baseline. To keep up at scale, traditional warehousing needs more than small improvements; it needs a rethink around how stock moves, how people pick, and how the site is designed to perform under pressure.
That’s exactly what Shiperoo set out to do, with Automate-X working closely alongside Geek+, including their project and engineering teams, to deliver a smooth rollout across multiple warehouses. Together, we deployed the RobotShuttle and PopPick solutions, designed for speed, flexibility and scalability across Shiperoo’s network. This wasn’t just about introducing new equipment; it was about building an operating model that supports consistent performance as volumes rise.
The solution combined two key systems. The RoboShuttle approach helped maximise storage capacity in high level base storage, reduce storage and retrieval times, and make smarter use of vertical space within the existing footprint. Alongside this, the PopPick system boosted picking performance with faster and more accurate order fulfilment, improved picker ergonomics, and increased picking speeds by up to 50 per cent, supporting a smoother workflow on the floor.
The impact has been significant, with 70,000+ totes installed across the network and the capacity to handle 10,000+ eCommerce orders every day, all on a scalable platform built for future growth. This is what technology-first fulfilment looks like in practice, not just adding robots, but designing processes, flows and warehouse layouts around automation from day one.
